Kappa Chi Chapter
Shorter University
Rome, Georgia

My first semester on the road was such an exciting whirlwind, I felt like it came full circle as I headed back to Georgia for my first visit of 2018!

I got a chance to unpack my suitcase fully and get recharged at home before heading back, but I was so excited to meet another chapter full of amazing sisters and I was not disappointed with the ladies of Kappa Chi at Shorter University!

I was greeted at Atlanta Airport by President Whitley and Director of Philanthropy, Whitney and the most adorable pick-up sign and a box of snacks/treats!
📍When in Rome.... {Georgia}:
On my first day in Rome, GA, Whitley and a few of the girls gave me an all-day tour! We walked around campus, downtown Rome, and visited a few eateries!
📍Frios is a gourmet popsicle shop in Rome; even though it was cold, we stopped in for one! I got a Fruity Pebbles and milk pop and it was delicious!
I got to experience some more Cookout in my life, which I had missed because we don't have that chain in the north and this time around I tried a Cheerwine float! (If you're from the north we don't have Cheerwine either...it's a type of pop!)
After we had dinner that night at the 📍Harvest Moon Cafe, the girls took me to the Robert Redden Footbridge in town, it was still all light up from the holidays, it was a great end to our Rome tour!

President Whitley & I on Shorter's Frozen campus
Shorter has a small campus, which was great, because if you know me you know I'm directionally-challenged and so getting around was easy! The first day of classes ended up being cancelled due to weather; it was cold in Georgia, but definitely not as cold and snowy as I'm used to in Pennsylvania...even if all the fountains on campus were frozen solid!

My last night in Georgia was spent watching the College Football National Championship, which happened to be held in Atlanta! Of course, since I was in GA I was cheering on the Dawgs!
I had a short, but very very sweet first visit of 2018! I can't wait to see what the ladies of Kappa Chi do this semester!

Next stop is back to Boise State for our long-awaited Installation Banquet of what will be our newest ZTA Chapter!👑
