Delta Alpha Chapter

California State University: Long Beach

Long Beach, Ca

I traveled a little farther West across the country for my next visit, to the beautiful and warm California State University: Long Beach. Go Beach!

I arrived at the Zeta house to the cutest welcome basket from the ladies! I flew in late that night to Long Beach and went to bed early because the next morning I was heading to Disneyland for the first time!

Two sisters from the chapter I was lucky enough to go with were both California natives and avid Disney visitors, they knew the parks like the back of their hand and made sure I experienced every thing Disneyland had to offer!

On the drive into the park, Chapter Historian Meg, who has grown up visiting Disneyland and is a season-pass holder, helped me make a list of things we needed to do once we got in the park;

here's my top 5!

1. First things first, I had to snag a pair of Minnie Ears and my "1st Visit" button to compliment my "It's a Zeta World After All" t-shirt! It was so cool seeing the famous Mickey Mouse Ferris wheel!

2. Pineapple Dole Whip was one of Meg's favorite treats in Disney and definitely became one of mine as well! It went perfect with the gorgeous weather we had all day!

3. Of course we had to stop by Toon Town and visit with Minnie Mouse!🐭

4. We ate lunch at the Red Rose Tavern, which is themed after Beauty and the Beast, obviously, I had to try the grey stuff because, well, it's delicious!🌹

5. We got a lot of fast passes throughout the day to ride all the Disneyland Classic rides including, the Mad Hatter tea cups, Indiana Jones, the Star Wars ride, Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean!

Soarin' Over theWorld was probably my favorite; you "flew" over beautiful landscapes all around the world taking in the sights and smells of places like Africa, Paris and the Arctic.

Check out my Day at Disneyland video!

My visit in California led me to some of the best food I've had so far on the road! Chapter President, Kristal and I had our meeting over the delicious, 📍In-N-Out! I was so excited to try it for the first time and I was not disappointed.

On my last night in California, one of the sisters took me to 📍The Loop. Churros are every where in SoCal and The Loop specializes in gourmet Churros so I had to stop there and try one! I had the Cookies & Milk Cream and also had to try the Beyonce Lemonade, which was a ombre watermelon drink with boba! So yummy!

I had such a wonderful time visiting with the ladies of Delta Alpha Chapter at CSULB I loved meeting their officers and getting to check in with their New Members who were so excited after their recent Bid Day and are already loving life as ZTAs!

I will definitely miss the palm trees and the warm SoCal weather! Next stop after my short break at home with family and friends is back to Boise, Idaho!
