ZTA International Office
Carmel, Indiana

2018-2019 Leadership Consultants
Before I knew it Convention was over, my 2 weeks at home flew by and I was excitedly
getting back on a plane returning to Indy to start my second round of training with a new Consultant team!

It's been really great this year being able to fly in with someone else from the Pittsburgh airport! Dawn went to West Virginia Wesleyan and I've known her since I was a senior in college, we met at Convention in 2016 and know a lot of the same Zetas in the PA/WV area!

After everyone flew in on their respective flights, we met for dinner at 📍Burger Haus in Carmel. Carmel, Indiana is the most adorable town, and after we ate, we took some time to walk around Main Street and explore.

Last year, our 2017-18 group was the last Consultant team to train at 3450 Founders Rd., our old International Office. This year, our 2018-19 group was the first team to train at the brand new office! Our training space could not be any more perfect!
Our first day of training focused on our values. Mrs. Patti came up to assist and share with us, some Zeta history.
She told us that one of our founders, Frances Yancey Smith, carried her badge with her in her wallet until the day she died and said, "If I have the values of ZTA with me always, then I know I'm on the right path in life."

Roomie Love My roommate during training is Miranda! We met last year when I visited her chapter and she was President. It's been so cool to get to know her as a Consultant instead of a Collegian!

Returner love We have 5 returning consultants from last year! Chelsie, Marilyn, Jessie, Bibi and myself! It's been really cool to be able to share a little bit of our experience with the first year consultants (especially some tips and tricks we wish we would have known last year!)

📍Punch Bowl Social, Indianapolis One thing I was really looking forward to when I got back to Indy, was hanging out with Bri! Bri Forth was on my Consultant team last year and got hired at IO as Executive Assistant!

We went to the Punch Bowl Social is a restaurant/fun place for adults. They have indoor corn hole, bowling, photo booths, arcade games, karaoke rooms and so much more!

Bri & I made sure our photo strip made it onto one of the walls!

Boss Up with Bonny Shade
Indianapolis is the heart of Fraternity and Sorority Life Headquarters. Many of our NPC/IFC friends' headquarters call this city home and every year there is a field staff conference for all Fraternity and Sorority Consultants.
It was really fun to meet some Consultants that we may run into on the road. I ended up sitting next to a Sigma Kappa from Pittsburgh during lunch!

Bonny Shade was one of the Keynote speakers and a fellow ZTA sister! I had met her on my travels last year at UNC Charlotte, but this was the first time I had the opportunity to hear her story and listen to her inspire.

Phired up for Jess!
Speaking of amazing speakers, we got an (as always) amaZing visit from Jess Gendron Williams, CEO of Phired Up Productions! Phired Up empowers Sorority and Fraternity members to be better recruiters and conversationalists through values-based recruitment and connection as well as promote leadership for those of us who get to work with them. Hoping to run into Jess again on my travels this year!

We finished out our first half of LC training with one of my favorite topics led by one of my favorite Zeta ladies: leadership & Executive Committee by Mrs. Alice Mathews!

Mrs. Mathews is a former Consultant as well as former National President. We have so much to learn from her and it's always so fun to hear about what the Consultant program used to be like.

Later that night, we had the pleasure of hosting the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity Consultants at our office for dinner!
Our boss, Caitlin used to be a Consultant for ZTA and her husband, John, also used to be a Consultant for none other than ATO; John cooked us all dinner and we had a great time getting to know each other!

It has been so much fun being in the office every day, getting to know staff better, learning from our incredible facilitators and connecting more as a team! I'm excited for our last week in Indiana and can't wait to hit the road soon!
