Delta Delta Chapter
Baldwin Wallace University
Cleveland, Ohio

Even though the weather is still hot and it’s August, my time at Baldwin Wallace brought all the sights, sounds and smells of fall rushing back!
Recruitment in full swing, the first official pumpkin spice latte at the new Starbucks in town and the sounds of the band practicing for the first football game of the year!

Feels like home to me..
Baldwin Wallace is in Ohio, not too far from my home and collegiate chapter in Pennsylvania! The campus and chapter culture were so familiar to me and Delta Delta really did feel like home for a few days!

Baldwin Wallace has a really pretty campus and surrounding downtown. I had seen pictures of BW's campus before because one of my friends from home that I danced with in high school went there and was an Alpha Phi!
Taylor saw that I was in Baldwin Wallace and still lives in the Cleveland area! We met up for dinner and had a great time catching up over the past 7 years!
📍La Crepe Cafe
One of my favorite places in Berea was the local Crepe Cafe! I visited almost every day that I spent in Baldwin Wallace trying all their different crepes. I tried the Peanut butter crepe + Machiatto Latte, Lemon Creme + Neapolitan ice cream and the Cherry Cream Cheese. YUM!

When I got to the chapter they were just finishing up some recruitment workshops! On the last night of preparations, the Membership Advisor, Maddie led the chapter in a special candle pass where the women could share their favorite ZTA moment.

Hearing sister's stories and watching them get emotional made me miss my own chapter sisters so much!
One of my favorite stories included a sister saying that she was so happy she joined Zeta Tau Alpha because,
"I realized that I needed to be around strong women to remind myself that I'm strong."
..and that is what the sorority experience is all about.

Exploring The 'Land Even with recruitment season upon us, we found some time to explore a little of the neighboring city of Cleveland, Ohio! Don't worry though, I know where I come from and I had to show off some of that Pittsburgh pride😉 #HereWeGo

Chapter President, Sarah and I got to spend a beautiful day walking around, hitting up the local cafe, Townhall for a cold brew and visiting the West Side Market.

West Side Market used to be a train station in the 1800's that is now an indoor/outdoor farmer's market with over 100 vendors!

I of course had to try the homemade Macaroons, a Vanilla Bean Lemonade and yet again, had another crepe for brunch (this time Nutella + Strawberries)!
Cleveland Art Museum
A few days before we visited the farmer's market we went to the Cleveland Art Museum and had dinner at Cleveland's favorite Mexican restaurant: Barrio! It's basically a subway, but for tacos and it was SO good!

ZETA TAU ALPHA, GIVES YOU LOVE AND SISTERHOOD EACH + EVERY DAY
The weekend brought recruitment with it I was able to be there for Philanthropy and Sisterhood rounds to support the chapter!

Loved Working with these Advisors!
The women spent all summer working on some really amazing handmade decor that they showed off during their rounds.
My favorite thing from Philanthropy round was how the chapter showed ZTA's 9 Key Values, which are: love, loyalty and commitment, leadership, true wisdom, humility, being rather than seeming, responsibility, life-long learning, and service + philanthropy.

My favorite wall during Sisterhood round was the "One Word that describes my sister is..." each sister uniquely shared their word to be displayed during Recruitment.

Two Alisons are Better than One
I was so sad to have to leave before Preference and Bid Day, but, Treasurer Alison and I made sure to grab our "Alison picture" before I left for my flight!

I left Delta Delta with memories full of sisterhood, a "sunshine bag" filled with sweet notes from chapter members and my favorite chips!😉 Thank you ΔΔ for a wonderful visit!

Next Up!
My first return visit (aside from Boise State) to Kappa Phi Chapter at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA!
