Kappa Omega Chapter
Saint Louis University
St. Louis, Missouri

šSaint Louis University
I arrived in St. Louis in the afternoon and was picked up at the airport by a Zeta sister, Drew! I got unpacked and settled in my room in her apartment right outside of campus and we headed to dinner with a few more sisters.

šFitz's Root Beer
We ate downtown in the Loop at Fitz's, they're famous for their huge rooter floats and boy, were they good!

šMoolah Temple
SLU is right in the middle of the city! The sororities there don't have sorority houses so I stayed with some of the chapter members in their apartments and they were all so unique!

The Coronado, couples were constantly in and out planning their weddings in the downstairs ballrooms, the St. Louis City Lofts, a renovated warehouse, and my favorite, Moolah Temple, which is a bowling alley, movie theatre and apartment complex all in one!

šSt. Louis Gateway Arch
Being in a city for a visit is especially fun because there is so much to do and so many foods to try! The SLU Zetas were nothing short of amazing hostesses/tour guides! They showed me all of the best parts of St. Louis during my stay!

After walking around downtown, sipping on my Chai Tea Latte, I just had to stop for lunch at St. Louis Bread Co. During my visit with Kappa Omega, there was some debate over Saint Louis Bread Co. vs. Panera.

šSt. Louis Bread Co. aka "Panera"
Panera was originally founded in St. Louis and was branded as Saint Louis Bread Co. before it expanded to the rest of the country. All the food is the same, and don't worry, MyPanera card still worked(!!) they just never re-branded in St. Louis which is pretty cool!
šThe Hill On my second night in town, some of the exec members took me to "The Hill", St. Louis' version of Little Italy. It was such an interesting neighborhood with a ton of homemade Italian restaurants to pick from. We went to Guido's and I got seafood linguine and of course, as a table, we shared a STL favorite, Toasted Ravioli!

šSt. Louis Zoo
Ritual Chair, Caroline and I headed to the St. Louis Zoo for "Zootoberfest". As if the zoo needed to be more fun? There were German bands playing while we walked around looking at the animals and of course we had to stop for a pretzel and bier cheese!

"I love going to coffee shops and just sitting and listening"
-Julia Roberts

šKaldi's Coffee
One of my favorite parts of my visit at Kappa Omega was that I didn't drink any Starbucks! Don't get me wrong, I love me some Starbs, but with this job we are often at Starbucks for our meetings.
However, St. Louis offered unique cafes all around the University. I tried the baked maple pumpkin lattƩ and then the chocolate chai tea lattƩ, both, 10/10!

šComme A La Maison
There are a lot of French influences in St. Louis. One of my favorite cafƩs was Comme A La Maison, which translates to "Like Home". It is run by a French owner and I literally felt like I was in Paris the whole time I was there! The handmade macarons were delicious and I loved the European feel.

šCafĆ© Ventana
I spent a lot of time sitting by the fire in CafƩ Ventana, drinking green tea and pumpkin pie lattƩs, (aren't those mugs the perfect color?!). I was getting all the fall vibes.

šTed Drewes
My last night at SLU was spent at an EC meeting with a Frozen Custard after party! I joined some EC officers (Morgan, Sally, Ashton and Abby) and their General Advisor, Courtney for some Ted Drewes. Famous in St. Louis, I had the 'Muddy Mississippi'!
Founders' Day 2018

October 15th is special to every Zeta Tau Alpha, this year, we celebrated 120 years of Sisterhood. I spent Founders Day with Theta Kappa Chapter at University of Missouri-St. Louis and the local St. Louis Alumnae Chapter.

I was so excited to see Mrs. Carol who is famous in the Zeta world for being at the most Conventions over a 50 year span! It was great to talk to her again during Founders Day and hear about how she has met 7 out of 9 of our Founders!

We all came together to celebrate the Founders' Day Service and we shared cake, memories, and sisterhood. It was a great night and I am so lucky to be a part of ZTA!

Thank you Kappa Omega and Theta Kappa for such a wonderful week in St Louis!

Next Up!
I was loving every minute of the fall weather in St. Louis, but I am definitely excited to get some sun in Gainesville, Florida! Next stop is the Gamma Iota chapter at UF!
