Eta Xi Chapter

Virginia Tech

Blacksburg, Virginia

My 9th visit of the fall semester brought me to Virginia Tech, home of the Hokies! I arrived right in the middle of fall when the University's colors were brought to life by the fall foliage on campus!

One of the advisors shared with me that they like to say in Blacksburg,

"God must be a Hokie fan, why else would he change all the leaves to maroon and orange?"

The fall beauty wasn't the only fun thing to explore on campus! Virginia Tech has one of the top rated campus dining in the country and so I had to indulge in some homemade gelato and crepes! They also offer lobster, prime steaks and hibachi on their campus!😋

Halloween with the Hokies

My visit landed right in the middle of Halloween, but there were no tricks, only treats with Eta Xi chapter! As soon as I arrived, they had a welcome basket full of my favorite snacks and candy along with some adorable shirts!

The Zeta house was decked out for Halloween! The chapter had painted and carved pumpkins earlier in the week and the night I arrived was Oak Lane Trick-or-Treating, when the local kids head to Sorority Row all dressed up in their costumes!

I got my favorite Halloween treat at the 📍Next Door Bake Shop! A mini mummy pumpkin pie, yum!

Kickin' it with Eta Xi

I love when I get the chance to attend sisterhoods! Eta Xi took me along for their boxing sisterhood. It was really hard, but a lot of fun! Rocky is my all-time favorite movie and I loved the Rocky quotes all around the gym.

It's always an adventure staying in a Zeta House! The in-house girls planned a movie night for my last night in town, we had snacks, leftover Halloween candy and watched Oceans Eight. It was the perfect last night at Virginia Tech!

I loved getting to know the sweet sisters of Eta Xi! They were so incredibly welcoming and always made sure I was having the best time in Blacksburg.

My visit was right in the middle of new officer elections! The chapter is full of leadership potential. I really got to know the chapter's Nominating Committee, who interviewed all of the applicants and made some hard decisions! The gigantic "Virginia Slice" pizzas did help a little during long days of interviews!

Next Up...

A short, but pretty fall drive from Virginia to North Carolina, brought me to the sisters of Eta Zeta at Elon University!
