Zeta Lambda Chapter

Rider University

Lawrence, New Jersey

I landed in Philadelphia late in the evening last weekend and was headed to my first school in New Jersey for my LAST ever recruitment and Bid Day as an LC.

Zeta Lambda Chapter is home at Rider University. Their house was one of the most unique and especially, colorful that I have seen on the road!

Each New Member class paints some type of large wooden emblem that goes in the staircase, the seniors paint farewell messages on the bricks in the side stairwell and each member is able to paint their own door! I stayed in the "Zeta Vibes" room and got my own Bid Day door dec!✌🏻

Behind that Crest door is a chapter full of love, sisterhood, laughter and tradition!

Zeta Lambda at Meet + Greet

The main focus of my visit at Rider was recruitment! They chapter did an AMAZING job; they were so prepared and worked so well as a team the whole weekend.

It was especially great working with the Chapter President, Brea and the Recruitment Chair, Kailee, they made me feel so welcome the whole week!❤️

Think Pink, Think Zeta

The basement looked fabulous for Philanthropy Night! Completely decked out in pink and Kailee and I made some chocolate-covered pretzels and Oreos for the event!

Congratulations, New Members!

We celebrated all day on Sunday with the addition of 18 New Members into Zeta Lambda's Sisterhood!

Bid Day, Best Day

Rider puts on a unique Bid Day! Each chapter rolls out their Bid Day banner on the balcony and then their New Members run out individually to cheers!

After lots of chanting, we headed to the Zeta House for the party! Lots of presents, conversation and chicken parmigiana were shared among new sisters!

📍Udo's Bagels

My first trip to New Jersey called for a trip to Princeton for coffee in their college town square as well as my first taste of Taylor Ham (or is it Pork Roll..?) Regardless, NJ bagels are delicious!

📍Empire State Building

It seemed like New Jersey was right in the middle of everything and I took full advantage of being so close to New York City!

I rode the train in the morning into the city and started my day off at a cute coffee house called, Blank Slate with a decadent Roseberry waffle and an almond matcha latte!

I walked around Times Square and then took the Subway to Brooklyn!

📍The Brooklyn Bridge

I rented a bike when I was in Brooklyn and the spent the afternoon biking through Manhattan and SoHo, all the way to Perry Street.

Got a Little Carried Away..

Perry Street in NYC just happens to be the spot that Sex and the City used to film for Carrie Bradshaw's apartment!

I stopped in Little Italy for a prosciutto parma pizza before ending my day in Times Square and hoping back on the train to New Jersey!

The City that never sleeps...

📍Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

My flight left out of the nearby city of Philadelphia! I'm from Pennsylvania, but I rarely am on the east side of the state!

The best thing about Philly, (besides the pretzels) is Rocky, my absolute favorite movie so it was a treat to get to stop on the way to the airport and see the famed statue!

Next Stop...

From New Jersey, I am headed back to the ladies of Kappa Phi Chapter at Christopher Newport University in Virginia!
