Kappa Omega Chapter

Saint Louis University

St. Louis, Missouri

You can take a Yinzer out of Pittsburgh..

I got to the Vice President's apartment on my first night in town and was so excited to see some Trader Joe's peanut butter cups (the only ones that are as addicting as Reeses) and a sweet note from the chapter President!

SLU is a repeat visit for me! I fell in love with St. Louis last fall and was so excited to see it on my schedule again and to be able to visit all my favorite places that I discovered the last time I was there (and find a couple new ones).

📍Fiddlehead Fern Cafe

One of my favorite things about St. Louis is the cafes. There are so many and each one is so unique. Fiddlehead Fern was a classic and I tried their Lavender Rose Camomile scone, which was delicious.

📍Comme A La Maison

--Or, "Like Home" if you don't speak French is one of my favorite places and a hidden gem right off of campus. I love their loose leaf teas and homemade macarons!

📍Kaldi's Coffee

I had been to Kaldi's a few times during my last visit and stuck with the chocolate latte, but I tried my first piece of Avocado Toast there and it was so good! Smashed Avocado and candied bacon--yum!

📍Cafè Ventana

Another French favorite from my last visit, I got to sit in my preferred seat again, right by the fire and sample some of their "NOLA-Style" beignets!

📍Pieces Last but not least, one of the coolest places I've been to: "Pieces", the board game cafe. They have a library of over 850 games to choose from, all categoried from easy to hard and even a section on games created in St. Louis!

Donuts for Dinner and Games for Dessert

Maddie, Caroline and I picked Jumanji to play! We order donuts and hot chocolate, and don't worry, everyone survived the game!

I got to meet a lot of new officers this time around since elections were held at the end of last semester! Sweet Alena and I had sushi in downtown STL and talked all about her duties as secretary!

📍Downtown STL

Having their campus right in the middle of the city, means that I get to have my officer meetings in a lot of unique places!

📍St. Louis Science Center

Academic Chairman Abby took me to the Saint Louis Science Center for our meeting! We walked around exploring and talked goals over a game of ping pong!

City Museum

One of the absolute coolest places I have been on the road, has to be the City Museum! I had heard rave reviews and I was not disappointed!

The City Museum is expansive; I honestly dont even know how to explain it. There are several stories of different themed rooms and tons of places to get lost in, climb up, and slide down.

Last time I was in town, Caroline took me to the St. Louis Zoo and round two was at the City Museum! We had the best time exploring!

We slide down the 10 story slide and explored the caves on the lowest level of the museum. I grabbed a post card before we left and it was one of the most fun days ever!

📍Ted Drewe's Frozen Custard It's always a treat to run into LC sisters on the road! Bibi got off the road this past fall but happened to be in town for work and so we had to make it over to Ted Drewe's for some famous STL custard!

📍The Hill I also got to catch up with LC sister, Mackenzie and share another St. Louis fav, toasted raviolis! Funnily enough, last semester, Mackenzie ended up in my home town of Pittsburgh on a visit and I got to show her around and I ended up in her home town of St. Louis while she was on break!

Theta Chapter

Bethany College

West Virginia

I flew from St. Louis to my home airport in Pittsburgh, PA because that was the closet airport to Bethany College in West Virginia. My mom picked me up and I was able to have a quick dinner with my family before heading to my next visit!

Every chapter receives an info sheet about us before we arrive, with our interests, favorite snacks and Zeta memories; it's always so thoughtful and appreciated when a chapter takes the time to put together a sweet welcome!

It seemed like every woman in the chapter had looked at my info sheet (they all guessed my fun fact at chapter, because I forgot I put it on my sheet🤦🏻‍♀️ lol) and on my first night in town, the girls took me to Hibachi for dinner because they knew it was my favorite!

Bethany's Women + Leadership Conference

Over the weekend, I got to attend a leadership conference with the chapter members and alumnae from Bethany College!

There happened to be a Phi Mu Consultant visiting at Bethany as well! We got to sit together and chat about Life on the Road over lunch. No one gets this job like another LC!

I had a wonderful time getting to know the officers and members! I always love getting to work with our 'Small but Mighty' chapter because I feel so at home!

Next Stop!

Lots of traveling and different timezones these past two weeks but it's always fun going coast to coast! Headed to the ladies of Upsilon Chapter at UC Berkeley in California!
